Our story

father and son

Pierre Petruccelli is a qualified chef who has been cooking authentic Italian style pizzas straight from a wood fired oven since an early age. His father Peter was from San Marco in Lamas in Italy and had a love for building wood fired ovens and cooking traditional pizzas with family and friends who often gathered for the chestnut roasting. Bringing a touch of Italy to Australia.

 

Pierre learnt skills from his mother Mary and his father Peter on how to cook pizza and create the perfect pizza crust. Pierre also worked for years as a Head chef in a range of restaurants, Caterinas Cucina, Flinders Hotel and trained in the Grossi restaurant in Melbourne. Pierre has travelled extensively through Europe and worked in a Michelin star restaurant The Brackenbury in England. 

 

Pierre would like his customers to experience the rustic charm of authentic Italian- style pizzas, straight from a wood fired pizza oven imported from Italy. He is enthusiastic about food and loves to bring a touch of Italy to your function, a little like his father created through the tradition of pizza and the family chestnut roasts.​
